The Midwest Music Expo (or MMX) was formed in 2019 out of Illinois with the goal of fostering talent and establishing connections in the world of midwest music. This has included many online and recorded panels and discussions with musicians, music attorneys, activists, and entrepreneurs. Now on May 15th 2PM CST The Best of Midwest Music Expo, a special presentation, will be made of past panels and discussions in anticipation of the upcoming fifth installment of MMX. Panels will be streamed live but can also be viewed on demand and features speakers including Martin Atkins, Wendy Day, Darryl Hurs, Gaelynn Lea, and more.

Founded in 1964, Jazzmobile is a nonprofit organization that has fostered jazz performances and artists in New York for decades. Jazzmobile has used workshops, master classes, lecture demonstrations, and arts enrichment programs to train the next generation of Jazz vocalists and musicians.

Created in the wake of 9/11, The globalFEST music festival has an ideology of anti-war and anti-racism and celebrates global music. Now facing dual challenges of the pandemic, along with hardening of international borders, globalFEST will, for the first time, team with NPR Music’s Tiny Desk concerts for Tiny Desk Meets globalFEST, running January 11 to the 14th, 2021.
The festival will present exclusive video performances by 16 artists via NPR Music’s digital platforms, featuring 12 new artists, as well as 4 globalFEST Alums, the four-night series will be hosted by African superstar Angélique Kidjo, who performed at the inaugural edition of globalFEST in 2004.
