International Hotel Show 2013 at the Javits Center

Have you ever been stuck on the road, tired and looking for a place to rest your head for the night? Want that one perfect hotel near the press center during a film fest? Or trying to find that special place to stay when you’re half way around the world? Finding that special place to stay when you’re far away can be a tricky proposition.

The International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show (November 9 – 13, 2013) at the Jacob K. Javits Center (655 W 34th St, New York) offers a look at some of the most stylish hotels with irresistible restaurants.

Find out how hotels are keeping up with the constant change in phone and Bluetooth applications, sample foods from hotels looking to be on the cutting edge of the culinary arts, or how the hotel industry is becoming more eco-friendly and reducing their carbon footprint.

Panel discussions and seminars by experts in the field include how the travel industry can help boost the struggling economy, how food and beverage can retain a hotel’s customers, and hospitality leadership.

The IHMRS will also be holding the 33rd Annual Gold Key Award for Excellence in Hospitality Design, highlighting innovative design in pursuit of the coveted “So Cool” award. The ceremony will take place at the New York Palace Hotel (455 Madison Ave.) on Sunday, November 10.

So whether you’re interested in quaint boutique hotels, or mammoth sized complexes, the IHMRS will give you a great chance to see what it takes to make a great hotel. At the very least you will get the drop on the next great hotel to stay at before all your friends do.
