Varieties of Biography is an all-day conference presented by the Leon Levy Center for Biography at the CUNY Graduate Center on March 29, 2012.
It features 15 eminent biographers including:
- Sylvia Nasar
- Debby Applegate
- Brad Gooch
- John Matteson
Novelist E. L. Doctorow is a lead speaker and it also will present graphic artists such as underground comics innovator Kim Deitch and graphic artists
- Lauren Redniss
- Miriam Katin
- Ariel Schrag
- Matt Madden
Lectures and panel discussions will cover topics ranging from ancient biography to the uses of biography in contemporary fiction.
